The mission of the Friends Foundation of the Cecil County Public Library is to enrich the Library’s impact through philanthropy and advocacy while inspiring a culture of giving to enhance and support our award-winning library system.
The purpose of the Foundation is to coordinate the philanthropy objectives and to develop programs of public support, which will provide supplemental funding to CCPL, otherwise not available through the traditional funding provided by county or state government, and to support CCPL by providing funds to support special projects and services. The Foundation also serves CCPL by promoting awareness of services and facilitates its development as a creative environment within Cecil County that encourages the acquisition of knowledge and love of reading.
