Your support makes an impact! A vibrant public library is an essential component of a thriving, educated, and engaged community.
We provide funds for the library’s special projects and services, for example, annual support for the Children’s Book Festival and the library’s Summer Reading and Learning program.

Donations are unrestricted and will be used as needed in support of Cecil County Public Library’s mission.
– Designating your gift here allows the Library the greatest flexibility to use donations for the initiatives and programs it needs the most. Needs change from year to year and season to season – your unrestricted gift is greatly appreciated.
– The Library supports everyone in our community, whether they can visit a branch in person, or if they visit the bookmobile or use online resources. Your support of the Bookmobile and Outreach initiatives will help the Library serve areas around Cecil County.
– Children are the future. Reading and literacy are crucial components to their success. Your support includes book giveaways, the summer reading and learning program, Children’s Book Festival, programs, events, Story Trails, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, special events for teens, and more.
– Support for this category will fund opportunities that connect our diverse community to prominent authors, speakers, events and exhibits.
One-time, Single Donation

Recurring Donations
On our Donation Website enter your credit card information, select the frequency, such as monthly and the amount you wish to donate. The process is automated until you decide to stop or your credit card expires.
Beneficiary Designation
Add the Friends Foundation as a total or a percentage beneficiary on your bank account, insurance policies or as part of your estate.
Book Sponsorships
Give the gift of Reading! Sponsor books in memory or in honor of someone special. With a gift of $25 or more for youth books or $50 or more for adult books, we’ll personalize a bookplate in a library book. Books are selected based on genre, but not specific titles.

Employer Matching Gift Programs
Increase your impact! Your donation may be eligible for a corporate match from your employer. Check with the Human Resources or Finance Department at your place of employment.

Transfer of Retirement Account Funds
You may be able to take advantage of a tax savings provision to support us by making a “qualified charitable distribution (QCD)” using funds in your IRA account, including Traditional, Rollover, Inherited, inactive SEP, and inactive SIMPLE plans.
