Advocate

Library hours and services continue to remain limited until the Library’s needs are fully funded. Share your budget priorities for more library hours with your elected officials. Attend public hearings and/or contact them by phone or email.

Contact the County Council to ask them to fully support the Cecil County Public Library. Read the library’s annual report, titled “A Week in the Life at the Cecil County Public Library.” Please share with the executive and council how much you need your Library and ask the Council to fully support the Library budget as submitted.

Tell your family and friends about all the people who need libraries such as families, homeschoolers, veterans, children, teens, teachers, and job seekers.

Checking out books and using the library’s free services shows that we have a thriving community that benefits from what the library has to offer. Don’t be shy, come join in the fun!

Pick up a magnet at any of our branch locations. Put it on your car, your fridge, your tractor, anywhere!

For many of the Friends Foundation organized events the cost of a ticket has a donation built in. Being supportive at library functions spreads awareness, excitement, and support.
